I think that we all have something about us that makes us hardcore.
There is at least one area (for some it is many areas) that we can push through any fear, all pain and succeed!!!
I know a couple of things that is not my hardcore – cold (I’m a complete wimp and freely admit it!!) and, at this point anyway, running a 50 mile race.
However, I do think that with fitness in general I’m pretty hardcore. There are very few moves/exercises that I won’t at least attempt – usually I try for 45 reps!! (at a minimum!) Sometimes I’m not successful and have to attempt moves multiple times but that is the fun part.
Even when I fail at a move (still haven’t mastered the one arm push-up!!!), I keep going back for more because eventually I will get it!!!
What is your hardcore? Can you do a one arm push-up? Can you do the move that mankofit is doing in the picture above?
For my 44 today I did a move that worked just about every part of my body!!!

44 of these were HARD!! My right leg was shaking pretty much after 3!!! Then, I got to switch and start all over on the left leg!
And, in case you care – Hunter did the pictures last night since no one would be able to this morning!!! (Chris has drill this weekend, Hunter had to leave at 6 with Chris to get to school, Jordan is sleeping.) I didn’t feel the need to put on my shoes – pink fuzzy socks are fine for pictures!!!
The reason Hunter had to be at the school so early – another ALL DAY wrestling tournament! Also the reason I’m up early!!! Good thing I love Hunter so much because I don’t love wrestling that much (at all!).
Another thing I don’t love? Cold weather!!!!
Nothing would make me happier than to spend the day in my sweats inside with the Christmas lights – good thing I love Hunter so much!!!
So – I need to get a move on so I can drive an hour away to spend the day in the gym with a lot of sweaty middle school kids – good thing I love Hunter so much!!!
I thought I would share a few things that have entertained me recently.
Today is a true example of what a total dork I am – I could tell that my arms were off during the ski run. Who cares??? Just make big movements with your arms to get your heart pumping – the goofier the better!!!
After my 43 I ran. I truly planned to run outside this morning but the temp on my car said 11 when I took Hunter to school. Ummmm….no way – please don’t make me go out there!! Treadmill – here I come!!!
I did 10 miles at a fairly steady pace with a 1.5 % incline. Time – 72:49 (only let the last 2 miles drop under 7:00)
I actually felt really good running today. I tried out some new shoes that I got last week on my Dick’s shopping adventure – the Brooks PureFlow 2.
I like them OK – not sure I like them as much as my Mizunos! I do love the color though!!!
Warm or Cold – so many choices!
Left-over pizza – I like it either way
Apple crisp – Warm!!!
Wine – Cold!!
Baths – HOT
Weather – the warmer the better!!!
