About me

My name is Kim and I am a 44 year old wife, mom of 2 boys and athlete.  I started running competitively in high school and loved it.  I competed in college and went on to coach 2 years at the university level.  As I got older, I added in various other activities. I love the Beach Body programs – Insanity, P90X2, Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreme are some of my favorites.  I also enjoy weight lifting. I am a certified personal trainer and love to talk about “fitness stuff”.

We currently live in Kansas (Chris is a pilot in the Kansas Air National Guard) and I don’t hate Kansas, but I like to pretend that I do!!  I prefer my homeland – TEXAS!!!! (or a beach anywhere!)

The past couple of years I have run my age on my birthday.  Last  year I decided to carry it a step further and do  my age every day with some type of fitness activity – that is what caused the birth of my blog!  I kicked the year off (and the blog) on September 16 with 43 miles (see post –  I did not meet goal) I had a great year and loved the daily challenge!!

Now, I’m set to kick off another year of daily activity this time it will be with daily 44s!!!  I’m excited to try lots of new moves/exercises and continue my blogging journey!! I hope you will join me and try at least some reps of the daily moves!!!

I work-out because I love the way it makes me feel especially when I go hard-core! I’m not trying to lose weight or compete – I just want to be the best that I can be and for me that includes lots of working out!!! (and a cocktail or 2 most evenings!)

I am also a Beach Body coach because I love their work-out programs.
