Today is mostly my day off but after doing the 43 for the day I feel like I can say I worked out!!!
The move today was a side moving plank x 4 and then a push-up. 43 of those!!!! I did have to stop for a quick stretch (child’s pose) about 4 times….BUT…I completed all 43 on my toes!!!
(I know – I am a total dork!!! At least the video shows how to do the moves!) :Happy-Grin:
I timed the 43 today – 7:25 of non-stop action!!!
For the rest of my work-out I pulled out one of my favorite DVDs of all times – Les Mills Pump Combat!! This work-out is SO MUCH FUN!!!! It is only 45 minutes but I love it and when I finish I know I have gotten a great work-out.
Off to clean the house, or maybe I should go shopping because it is Fun Friday!!
Today is truly a fall day -cold, damp and windy! I will take this kind of day over a snowy day any time!!!!
The 43 today was great for working your entire core. Start in a table-top position (on hands and knees). Extend right arm and left leg and hold (I held for a 3-count) then pull elbow and knee together (crunch). Extend and repeat.
I did 43 on that side and then switched and did 43 with my left arm and right leg. I tried to keep the movements slow and controlled so I could really work my core and obliques.
Today I started my final week of Chalean Extreme Burn Circuit. After I do Burn Circuit 2 & 3, I will move on to the Push Circuit. In Burn Circuit, the goal is 10-12 reps of each exercise. In Push Circuit, you try to increase your weights and the goal is only 4-6 reps. It is the month were you can really up the amount of weight you lift!
I also did Turbo Fire – Fire 30 so that I could get in a short cardio session with Chalean!
I think I will bake (shocking for me to bake again!) some banana bread for the boys to enjoy on this perfect fall day!
I’m looking forward to this evening when I’m hooking up with a couple of friends for cocktail hour!!! WooHoo!!!
Sometime when I pick the 43 for the day I don’t really think it through very well and I misjudge how HARD it is going to be!!! Today was a prime example!
The 43 was a wall sit (which would have been plenty by itself!!!) with a bicep curl to a shoulder press. Why????? To use one of Hunter’s sayings – I’m a “dunderhead.” (I don’t have any idea what that means but it cracks me up when he says it!!!)
I started out with 10 pound dumbbells in each hand. After the first 23 I decided to lower to 8 pounds. So, instead of doing 43 straight through, I did 23, quick change of weights, then 20 more. My legs were on fire!!! It was awesome!
After the torture challenge, I decided to break the rules a little and run because RUNNERS RUN!!!
I ran 4 miles in 24:20 and then did 2.5 at a much easier pace with a steep incline. I figure if I don’t run too many miles then it doesn’t really count!
Gotta get going – full day of errands to catch up after subbing all week!
